Intersolar is Europe’s largest annual trade fair for the solar industry and it is growing fast. In 2005 the trade fair welcomed a total of 360 exhibitors and 19,000 visitors from more than 50 different countries, evidence of a continuing trend toward internationalization. To accomodate and encourage this development, all kinds of documents - from registration forms to press releases and website material - need to be available in several languages. In the weeks approaching the trade fair, the organizers work under great pressure to ensure that everything is ready on time.

Customer: Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE
Service: Interpreting services for conferences; translations and editing

As the largest solar research institute in Europe, the work of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE sets technical standards for an effective and sustainable energy supply. Research topics at ISE cover the science and technology of solar energy exploitation. Fraunhofer ISE works with numerous universities, government departments, businesses and research institutes both nationally and internationally. Within this context, translations of highly technical texts, as well as proofreading of existing texts in English, are frequently required. The institute also organised the Microenergy Technologies Symposium in Berlin in 2006 where interpreting services were provided by Peschel Communications.

Service: Interpreting and translation services supporting the development partnership SPRUNGBRETT within the EU EQUAL initiative

The community initiative EQUAL, funded through the European Social Fund, aims to test and promote new means of combating discrimination and inequality in the labour market, both for those in work and those seeking work, through trans-national cooperation. As part of this initiative, a development partnership was set up between the German “SPRUNGBRETT” project, the Spanish “Red Local” (Madrid) and the Dutch “Flexkwadraat” project (Deventer). Peschel Communications support the work of this partnership by supplying conference interpreters, all necessary technical conference equipment, and written translations of documentation and project reports.

The Angela Liedler Group is a fast growing advertising agency with its head office based in Freiburg. The agency was founded by Dr Angela Liedler in 1999. Being a medical doctor, Dr Liedler decided to specialise in advertising for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Today, the agency has subsidiaries in Cologne and Munich, and in 2004 the Liedler Group became a member of GSW Worldwide.
